I love it when I find a healthy food combo that can be eaten as a healthy snack but tastes as good as an indulgent treat! When I was skimming through Pinterest a few weeks ago, I saw a recipe that used cottage cheese in a fruit smoothie and my interest was peaked. I love to each fresh fruit with my cottage cheese, but I had never thought about blending them together. Fortunately for me, I still had all those fresh peaches in my fridge that I got from the Farmer’s Market so I went for it and I have been hooked ever since! I love that the cottage cheese gives it a little more of a salty sweet than yogurt does which really appeals to me. It’s so simple, but so yummy, and sugar free. Bonus!
Just add all the ingredients to a high powered blender or food processor and blend until it’s smooth. Easy peasy. 🙂

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Yogurt
- 1 small peach
- 1/2 C cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 C ice
- liquid or granulated stevia to taste (I do one good squirt)
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ginger (optional but delicious)
- Just add all ingredients to a high powered blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Macros: Calories 143; Carbs 17.5; Fat 2.8; Protein 14
